NOTE
- The question papers for the examination will be of conventional essay type.
- Each paper will be 3 hours of duration.
- Candidates exercising the option to answer the papers in any one of the language mentioned above may, if they so desire give the English version within brackets , or only the description of the technical terms if any in addition to the version in the language opted by them. Candidates should however , note that if they misuse the above rule , a deduction will be made on this account from the total marks , otherwise accruing to them and in extreme cases; their script will not be valued for being in unauthorized medium.
- The question papers will be set (Other than Literature of Language papers) in Hindi and English Only.
HOW TO CHOOSE OPTIONAL?
It is very important aspect regarding UPSC mains. We have to study very well so first of all identify our area of interest, refer to PYQ to get an idea. Also take a look at detailed Syllabus. If it is too Vast Choose wisely.
Also Consider availability of mentorship, we have to write a lot of answers in order to improve our skills .
It is not good to change optional subject frequently. So choose Wisely. During the course of preparation Optional is like our Spouse so.. Take Time and decide.
