WHAT IS THE SCHEME FOR UPSC MAINS?

 

Paper- A qualifying paper Indian language-300 marks ; The written examination will consist of the following papers; one Indian language to be selected by the candidate from the languages included in the Eighth Schedule of the constitution.

Paper -B qualifying paper English 300 marks.

PAPERS TO BE COUNTED FOR MERIT

  1. Paper One Essay - 250 marks
  2. Paper Two- General Studies One - 250 marks (Indian Heritage and Culture, History, and Geography of the world and society)
  3. Paper Three - General studies Two- 250 marks( Governance , Constitution, Polity, Social Justice and Inter National Relations)
  4. Paper Four- General studies Three - 250 marks( Technology, Economic Development, Bio Diversity, Environment, Security and Disaster Management)
  5. Paper Five - General studies Four- 250 marks (Ethics , Integrity and Aptitude)
  6. Paper Six -Optional subject- Paper One - 250 marks
  7. Paper Seven- Optional Subject -Paper Two- 250 marks
Subject total ( Written Test) 1750 marks
Personality Test 275 marks
Total 2025 marks
