New Government Jobs, 9 October 2026: Assam Skill University Project Invites Applications for IT and Data Roles

A fresh recruitment notice from the Assam Skill University Project (ASUP) offers four categories of contractual work: Data Administrator, Programmer, DTP Operator and Data Entry Operator. The university's official announcement was posted on 7 October 2026, and applications opened on 8 October.

Deadline: 22 October 2026, 11:59 PM. These are temporary project engagements, not permanent government appointments. Each role requires relevant experience as well as the stated qualification.

The amounts are ceilings, not guaranteed starting pay. ASUP says the actual offer depends on experience and the candidate's last salary/CTC, with a possible hike of up to 30% subject to the advertised ceiling.

What kind of jobs are these?

The engagement starts with six months. It may be extended by up to another six months if the project needs the role and performance is satisfactory.

The official terms explicitly rule out regularisation or permanent absorption in ASUP/ASU. Candidates looking only for permanent posts should factor that in before applying.

Posting location: Assam Skill University, Bidyanagar, Mangaldai, Darrang, Assam.

The notice lists four role categories but does not give a vacancy count for each in the terms reviewed. Do not read this as "four vacancies". An age limit is not stated in those terms; candidates should check the official page and any later clarification rather than assume there is no age condition.

How to apply through the official route

1. Open the official recruitment announcement and read the full terms of reference.
2. Download the prescribed application form from that announcement page.
3. Fill it in, scan it with the required supporting documents, and combine everything into one PDF.
4. Submit the application details and upload that PDF through the online form linked by the university.
5. Finish before 22 October 2026, 11:59 PM, and save your submission record.

The linked application form could not be independently opened during this check: it returned an access error. Use the official announcement as your starting point, and contact the university if the form remains inaccessible.

Only applications through the prescribed online link will be considered. The Google Forms link above is included because the official university announcement and its terms expressly name it as the application route, not because it is a third-party job-site link.

Qualifications must be from recognised institutions, and qualification and experience requirements must be met by the last application date. Candidates with SAMARTH eGov Suite experience get preference under the terms. The Programmer role also notes preference for Government/University IT-system experience.

Selection process

Shortlisted candidates take a computer-based practical test before the interview. Only candidates who qualify in that test move to the interview.

The interview venue is the university's City Campus at ITI Birubari, opposite B. Borooah Cancer Hospital, distinct from the Mangaldai posting location. Original certificates and self-attested copies must be produced when required. No TA/DA is paid for attending the test or interview.

Keep checking the university website for shortlist, test/interview dates and corrigenda. The project can change the number of positions or the process, or cancel the recruitment.
